Bicycle Registration

Bicycle thefts are one of the most common crimes on college campuses across the nation.  With the ever rising gas prices and constant traffic congestion, bicycles have become one of the most popular modes of transportation for college students.

Locking your bike to a secured and authorized bike rack whenever it is unattended is the first step in preventing bicycle theft.  Unsecured bikes or improperly secured bikes are easy targets and substantially increase your risk of becoming a victim.

Registering your bike with the college police department is the next step in combatting bicycle thefts and helps authorities locate you in cases of recovered/abandoned bikes.  Unregistered abandoned bikes are seldom ever returned to their owners since authorities cannot locate them.
